• Sir Waldo had the privilege of playing for "The Godfather of Soul' James Browns" for 12 years and with America's number one African American Country/Western singer Charlie Pride singing back up and playing sax for 10 years on the country scene and he's shared the stage with major artist such as Michael Jackson, Johnny Taylor, B.B King.
• Waldo Weathers is a recipent of a citation of being the First Black Country Sax Player inducted into the Country Music Hall of fame.
